Mu'azu should resign now - Ajia

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Yinka Ajia, has called on the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, to resign with immediate effect. Ajia, who was a special adviser to a former national chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Kawu Baraje, said the resignation of Mu’azu was the first step that should be taken in the party’s reorganisation.

A statement by Ajia on Thursday in Ilorin claimed that Mu’azu failed to mobilise the party for victory in the just concluded general elections.

According to him, the poor outing of President Jonathan in some Northern parts of Nigeria reflected Mu’azu’s alleged incompetence. He said,

“The poor performance of the President in Bauchi State, the home of the PDP chairman, is another reason why the party should have a new leader.”
